Musical Funfair | Bundle of 6 Games, 1 Incentive, Set of Worksheets

Visit the Musical Funfair with your students and put their musical knowledge to the test with this fun bundle of music games, incentive, and puzzle worksheets!

WHAT IS IT?
6 Music Games:

Juggling Frenzy

Who's the best juggler?
Players take turns to identify the missing time signature on the question card.
They then look to see if it's a WOW! or an OOPS! If it's a WOW! they add that many juggling balls to their board (they can juggle that many juggling balls!)
If it's an OOPS they remove that many juggling balls (they dropped them!)

Balloon Pop!
Who can pop the most balloons? This is a simple matching game - players try to find pairs between bass clef balloons and piano key darts. When a pair has been found, that balloon has been popped! All notes are flats.

Bump It Bumper Cars

A quirky take on bingo- players take turns identifying the notes on the question cards (piano keys or treble clef notes) and covering up the corresponding letters on the bumper cars on the board.

The catch? If another player has covered up the bumper car you need, you 'bump' their token off and replace it with yours!
The player with the most tokens on the bumper cars at the end of the game is the winner!

Wheely Fun Game
A Ferris Wheel bingo game - players take turns identifying notes on the question cards (piano keys or bass clef notes) and seeing if they can add an animal to a lettered car on their Ferris Wheel. The first player to have a full Ferris Wheel is the winner!

Hook-A-Duck
Similar to 'Balloon Pop!' players take turns to see if they can find a pair - a duck with a treble clef note and a hook with a piano key (all treble clef sharps)
The player who hooks the most ducks (finds the most pairs) is the winner!

Ice Cream Rhythm

Who will have the best ice cream stall?
Players take turns picking up a question card and saying the words and clapping the rhythm. They then see if they have the matching rhythm on their ice cream stall. If they do, they cover it up with an ice cream.
The first player to fill their ice cream stall is the winner!
There are empty phrase cards so you and your students can write your own phrases!

BONUS GAME: Race To The Big Top

Who will reach the Big Top first?! In order to be let in you need a ticket, a balloon, an ice cream, and a bucket of popcorn. Players race around the board answering note-value questions, trying to collect the four items they need. The first player to take all four items to the tent is the winner!

1 Incentive

Students can claim a Circus Character Animal card and colour in stars to mark a job well done / practice / challenge completed / rules followed (anything you like!)

These five worksheets all reveal a different instrument being played by a performer in the Music Tent.
